The Buddhist Vihara blood drive was held on Sunday the 29th of August 2004. We started the day early, at 4:30 am by preparing sandwiches to take for the donors. We left the temple in a van at 8:15 am, picking up donors along the way, and arrived the Southbank Blood Centre at around 9:15 am. Around 11 people came, 8 of them to donate blood. The day was a great success. The gift of blood, giving of your own body, is a great deed of generosity. May the great merit gained from this act help you to attain Nibbâna, and may it help your departed relatives to gain peace and happiness.
